Meet the Team
Andrea is an experienced development professional with a broad base of skills acquired through 25+ years of post-graduate experience in grassroots projects and management positions in international NGOs and government agencies.
He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Development, Innovation and Change from reputable universities in Italy. He also holds a Doctor’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of South Africa.

Mpontsheng Margaret Madisha, joined CATHCA in 2018 as a Finance Officer and holds a National Diploma: Finance and Accounting (Public). She is furthering her studies by doing Bcom: Financial Management. Margaret previously worked at the SACBC (Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference)

Bonginkosi Mthembu joined CATHCA as a Project Manager in 2016. Joining CATHCA from Treatment Action Campaign, where he worked for more than 10 years and held numerous positions such as: Provincial Prevention and Treatment Literacy Coordinator, Provincial Organizer, Provincial Capacity Building Officer, and the National Skills Development and Capacity Building Officer.
He holds a Certificate in Access to Medicine and Intellectual Property Rights and also holds an Advanced Project Management Certificate.

Office / Logistics Administrator
Jane joined CATHCA in July 2016 as an Administrator and gives support in various ways to the CATHCA team. Before joining CATHCA, she spent 15 years in the Human Resources field, 9 of them as an HR Manager at Sasol Oil.
Tinashe Mandikonza is a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who has been with CATHCA for three years and is experienced in maintaining monitoring systems for CATHCA programmes through the creation of monitoring plans, logframes, theory of change and measuring the impact. Her journey with CATHCA has been a great learning curve for she also gained project management skills and is now an accredited assessor and facilitator. Working in a faith-based organisation has also taught her that being of service to others is the ultimate gift that one can offer especially in helping people in our marginalised community health circles.
Melese Tumato Shula
Skills Development Officer
My name is Melese Tumato Shula. I am a manager for diocesan health and welfare projects at CATHCA. I am a registered member of SAAP (the Southern African Association for Pastoral work).
I joined CATHCA towards the end of 2015.
Programme Assistant Officer
Kgomotso joined CATHCA in 2017 as an Office Administrator Assistant and keeps CATHCA database up to date and provides support for the programmes run by the organisation.
She has worked at Catholic Relief Services/CRS/SA, and other NGO’s in Gauteng e.g. Community Education Computer Society and she still loves to volunteer in her spare time, especially in the field of computer training.
