Meet the Team
Andrea is an experienced development professional with a broad base of skills acquired through 25+ years of post-graduate experience in grassroots projects and management positions in international NGOs and government agencies.
He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Development, Innovation and Change from reputable universities in Italy. He also holds a Doctor’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of South Africa.

Margaret joined CATHCA in 2018 as a Finance Manager and holds a National Diploma: Finance and Accounting (Public). She is furthering her studies by doing BCom: Financial Management. Margaret previously worked at the SACBC (Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference)

Stakeholder Engagement Officer
Bonginkosi joined CATHCA as a Project Manager in 2016. Joining CATHCA from Treatment Action Campaign, where he worked for more than 10 years and held numerous positions such as: Provincial Prevention and Treatment Literacy Co-ordinator, Provincial Organizer, Provincial Capacity Building Officer, and the National Skills Development and Capacity Building Officer.
He holds a Certificate in Access to Medicine and Intellectual Property Rights and also holds an Advanced Project Management Certificate.

MELESE TUMATO SHULA
Skills Development Officer
Melese joined CATHCA in 2015 as a Skills Development Coordinator.
He holds a Master’s Degree in educational leadership and management from St Augustine’s College of South Africa and a Doctor’s Degree in Philosophy of Education from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Melese is responsible for coordinating the identification of the training needs, the design of skills development plans and methodologies, and execution and assessment of the training activities for the development of the organization. He also facilitates knowledge sharing, cross-learning, collaboration, mentoring, and accompaniment in relation to capacity building and skills development.
Tinashe joined CATHCA in 2015 and has more than three years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).
She holds a certificate in Monitoring, Evaluation and Social Impact from IQ Business and a Bachelor of Commerce in Industrial and Organisational Psychology degree from the University of South Africa (UINSA).
Her responsibilities at CATHCA are developing and rolling out M&E systems, plans and measuring tools, data collation, analysis and report writing for CATHCA’s projects.
Elsa has worked with CATHCA since 2015 and is a seasoned social development professional with broad experience in managing large and complex, high-profile donor-assisted projects in Southern Africa. She has experience in designing projects and innovative training interventions, leading teams, conceptualising and facilitating training materials as well as monitoring and reporting on project progress .
She has a unique blend of academic expertise in community and health psychology and social development which enables her to advise on policies and generate solutions that contribute towards the elimination of poverty and marginalisation in especially impoverished communities.
Administration & Communications Officer
Jane joined CATHCA in July 2016 as an Administrator and gives support in various ways to the CATHCA team. Before joining CATHCA, she spent 15 years in the Human Resources field, 9 of them as an HR Manager at Sasol Oil.
