Embarks on a Seven Year Journey Promoting Integral Ecology
The Catholic Health Care Association of Southern Africa’s mission is to support and strengthen an evolving health care network of roughly 200 member organizations serving poor and vulnerable people in some of the neediest areas of South Africa, Botswana, and Eswatini. CATHCA Network comprises of community-based organizations, clinics, hospitals, hospices with the capacity to influence communities and stakeholders to care for the environment in which we live.
The CATHCA Network’s initiatives for environmental health are an effort to make a difference in marginalized communities affected by climate change, environmental pollution or environmental degradation.
CATHCA calls upon communities and decision-makers to help protect and value the environment while we embark on a journey for the “long path of renewal” of our environment, as urged by Pope Francis.
In collaborating with others locally and globally, CATHCA seeks to promote advocacy for “ecological integrity” and support resilient, equitable and sustainable environments.
CATHCA is committed to help achieve the Laudato Si’ Action goals:
