During his trip to South Africa Deacon Ed Shoener met with several stakeholders including Archbishop Buti Tlhagale, OMI of Johannesburg. Discussions were held on the implementation of the Mental Health Ministry at the Archdiocesan level.
ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS HELD
On 24 June CATHCA held a roundtable discussion with parish leaders of the Diocese of Klerksdorp where 75 Chairpeople of the Parish Pastoral Councils and clergy gathered at Rabbuni Centre. The discussion focused on dealing with stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness from the perspective of the Parish Mental Health Ministry.
