On September 11, CATHCA hosted an impactful session titled “Depression: Contributing Factors and Mitigating Measures” for youth representatives from Angola, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Botswana at the Padre Pio Retreat Centre in Pretoria. This event, part of the IMBISA Youth Synod, aimed to illuminate the complexities of depression among young people.

Participants engaged in vibrant discussions about the various contributing factors to mental health challenges, fostering a deeper understanding of this critical issue. Together, they explored effective strategies for mitigation and support, equipping youth with the tools needed to navigate their mental health journeys.

This session marked a significant milestone in promoting mental health awareness within the youth community, empowering young voices to address and combat depression collectively.
